An IDEA for National Coming Out Day

After the second meeting we had today I went home thinking a lot about the events we layed out on the table for everyone and thought of how to improve if not add to each one. I won't go into detail on everyone at the moment but the one that came to mind was "National Coming Out Day".

What if we had some form of a game show, where contestants have to "OUT" who they think are homosexual /lesbians etc. We put the people (who are willing and able to do this of course) on stage and have them go through various activities and such, testing their supposed sexuality. I know it sounds so far fetch but I thought it would be interesting... Anyone care to add their input?

I like that idea and I'd be up for it. But what would be the "activities"?

Well I haven't actually gone that far in the thought process so forgive me my mind has a thousand things all going at once. However I was watching a game show a few nights ago and these sorts of activities came to mind:

1. Questions regarding dating experience and such
2. Testing their style, having “men and women" dressing a mannequins showing if they have or don't have a keen fashion sense
3. Mannerisms, can a way someone talks, walks, acts really tell you someone's sexuality?
4. Pick up lines, some are cheesy, some are dead on, and some are just strange.... but can they tell you who someone is?

These are just some ideas of the activities those willing to be outed or not can go through. Male and female’s voting will chose the guy or girl they are voting upon to “out them" or "date them”. It's all geared more or less at exposing the stereotypes gays and straights are put into and showing people not everyone can be judged by them. So what do you think, good idea, too much, or eh?

what about looking up celberties and asking people which ones are out and which ones are not im sure between us we can come up with some really cool people that way we are not putting anyone on campass directly in the front line of fire. I know i would not care but some people/ students may not be able to deal with it.

who's to say we can't in a way merge the two?

I like it, I have plenty of buddies from work that wouldn't mind coming in and dressing like girls just for kicks
