the myth of "the good gay man"

Post by fiopawn on Tue Aug 26, 2008 3:33 pm

I have a simple question and hopefully this doesn't come off rude or offensive to everyone. But, are all gay males superficial and users? I feel like a minority of a minority of a minority. I don't care what I look like, don't care what who I am with looks like, and certainly don't make what I want someone else to do for me seem like it was their idea to do it for me. I know it's not fair to say that every gay male is like this, however how can one have hope for someone who is not like this when it seems that all one encounters is superficiality and rudeness. The horizons are broadened it just seems like all I'm getting is a narrow sparkle. Any care to shed some light ?

Trust me. I know it seems that way but there are always good people out there. Just keep an open mind and don't be afraid to meet new people and you will be fine ^^.
